Bournemouth confirm centre-back Antonio Silva has joined from Benfica on a five-year contract. €25m+€5m package. At 22, Silva arrives having played 200+ games for Benfica and won 20 caps for Portugal. Bournemouth wanted a ball-playing centre-back, who was also tall, to fill the void left by Marcos Senesi. Silva prefers to play on the left side. Price also considered excellent given Luka Vuskovic (€54m), Jan Paul Ven Hecke (€60m) and Tarik Murahemovic (€42m) all sold for more this summer.🍒
