About these values: how Oddsivio estimates player market value

Every number on this page is an Oddsivio estimated value — our model's estimate of what a player would be worth on the transfer market today, expressed in euros. It is a statistical estimate, not a real market price, an asking price, or a fee we expect any club to pay.

The model reads roughly 90 signals per player before producing a value. The biggest drivers are recent on-pitch output (goals, assists and chance creation per 90 minutes), minutes played and availability, age and position — a 21-year-old winger and a 33-year-old centre-back age very differently — the strength of the league and of the opposition faced, club strength and stature, international pedigree, and the trajectory of a player's numbers across recent seasons, with the most recent form weighted heaviest. Those signals are calibrated against real transfer-market benchmarks, so a given level of production maps to what the market has actually paid for it.

Values are recomputed every week for every eligible player across Europe's top competitions, and this page always shows the current estimate — not a season-end snapshot. A player needs a minimum body of recent minutes before the model will rate them, which is why some squad players and long-term absentees have no value yet.

Each estimate carries an internal confidence rating. When confidence is low and the resulting figure would be an extreme one, we withhold it rather than publish a number we don't trust. Goalkeeper values are the hardest to model and are best read as conservative.

Treat every figure as a well-informed reference point. Transfer fees are negotiated by humans under deadline pressure; no model — ours included — knows them in advance.
