Bazoumana Touré

Bazoumana Touré is a left-footed Ivorian winger who uses his speed to attack down the left flank. Dribbling and early crosses are central to his game. That combination gives defenders two problems: following his acceleration with the ball and stopping a delivery before the attack reaches the byline.

His route began in Bouaké and took him to ASEC Mimosas, where he entered the academy and progressed into the first team in 2022. He had senior experience in Ivorian football before making his first move abroad.

Hammarby provided that first European step after a successful trial. During the 2024 Swedish league season, he contributed to a second-place finish. His time in Stockholm gave him a platform to make the next move: Hoffenheim signed him in February 2025, taking him from the Allsvenskan into the Bundesliga.

Touré has described the adjustment in practical terms. In a March 2026 interview, he identified the pace, physical demands and tactical system as challenges, and credited teammates and staff with helping him adapt. Alongside the running and dribbling, learning how to operate within a team was part of his development too.

His first Hoffenheim goal came in a 3–0 Bundesliga win over St. Pauli during the 2025/26 season. He then helped the club finish fifth and return to the Europa League.

For Côte d’Ivoire, he headed the added-time winner in a 3–2 victory over Gabon on 31 December 2025, securing first place in their Africa Cup of Nations group. Their title defence ended against Egypt in the quarter-finals in January 2026. Touré also appeared at the 2026 World Cup, where Côte d’Ivoire’s run ended against Norway in the round of 32.

In July 2026, he moved from Hoffenheim to Newcastle United, adding English football to a career path through Côte d’Ivoire, Sweden and Germany.
