Profile
Bremer is a Brazilian centre-back whose defending combines close marking with reading where the next pass will go. His value is not confined to a physical contest: interceptions can stop an attack before a striker receives the ball, while his strength in the air helps him contest deliveries into the penalty area.
His route to European football began in the youth systems of Desportivo Brasil and São Paulo. He made his senior debut with Atlético Mineiro in 2017 and moved to Torino in 2018. Those stages took him from Brazilian development football into the demands of Italy’s top division.
Torino became the setting for his breakthrough. Lega Serie A named him its Best Defender for 2021/22. In July 2022 he crossed the city to Juventus, which announced the permanent transfer on 20 July.
The move also brought a tactical adjustment. At his Juventus presentation, Bremer explained that he was learning to adapt from a three-man defence to a back four. He described reviewing his own performances at home and seeking advice from Leonardo Bonucci.
He helped Juventus win the Coppa Italia in May 2024, playing in the 1–0 final victory over Atalanta. He turned the ball behind after Mattia Perin’s late save from Éderson, one of the final defensive actions that protected the lead.
His attacking contribution was clear against Parma in February 2026. He headed in a corner, then scored again after a set-piece sequence, reacting to a loose ball kept alive by Jonathan David. The two goals illustrated different ways a defender can threaten: winning the aerial contest and staying involved for the next chance.
His international milestones include a first Brazil goal against France in March 2026, finishing from Luiz Henrique’s assist in a 2–1 defeat. He was then selected for Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad. Brazil reached the last 16 before losing 2–1 to Norway, with Bremer among the substitutes for that match.
Bremer currently plays for Juventus as a centre-back. He has represented Brazil internationally.
