Profile
Career & playing style
Christos Tzolis likes to turn a wide position into a route towards goal. A right-footed attacker who often starts on the left, he carries the ball at defenders and can create a chance himself or find a teammate. He has also played on the opposite flank and through the middle, giving him different ways to join an attack.
His first major breakthrough came at PAOK, where he was part of the side that won the Greek Cup in 2021. Norwich City signed him that August after a season in which he had been named PAOK's player of the year. He had already made the step into Greece's senior national team before moving to England.
The next stages of his development took him on loan to FC Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf. In Germany, his 2023–24 season brought 22 league goals and a share of the second division's top scorer award, alongside Robert Glatzel and Haris Tabaković.
Fortuna exercised their option to buy him from Norwich in May 2024, with the permanent move taking effect that July. He then joined Club Brugge during the same summer and scored on his debut in the Belgian Supercup. His route to Belgium followed a loan season in which he had become a regular source of goals for Düsseldorf.
At Brugge, creating chances became as prominent a part of his game as finishing them. His set-piece delivery added another way to supply teammates, alongside the opportunities he made by carrying the ball. He helped the club win the Belgian league title in 2025–26 before joining Arsenal in July 2026.
