Jablonec

FK Jablonec was founded on 5 June 1945 as Cesky sportovni klub Jablonec nad Nisou. Later names included SK Jablonec in 1948, Sokol Preciosa in 1955, TJ Jiskra in 1960 and TJ LIAZ in 1963, after the Liberec car works. It became FK Jablonec 97 in 1998, FK Baumit Jablonec in 2008 and FK Jablonec in 2015. The club plays in green and white at Stadion Strelnice, its home since 1945. The ground, on a site where a shooting club once had its range, was called Chance Arena from 2007 to 2014.

Jablonec spent two seasons in the Czechoslovak top flight from 1974. After winning the second tier in 1993-94 it has played in the top division since 1994. It won the Czech Cup in 1998, beating Drnovice 2-1 after extra time, and was a best-ever second in 2009-10, a point behind Sparta Prague. A second cup, on penalties against Mlada Boleslav, and the Czech Supercup followed in 2013. It reached the Europa League group stage in 2018-19 and the Conference League group stage in 2021-22, and lost the 2026 cup final 3-1 to Karvina.
