Profile
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is an English attacking midfielder who connects possession to chances from the space behind the forwards. His left foot can redirect play towards a winger, combine with a runner near the box or deliver an inswinging set piece. He also arrives late to finish moves he helped build.
He joined Leicester City's academy aged eight and made his senior debut against Brentford in the FA Cup in January 2020. Loans to Blackpool and then Luton Town gave him first-team football at two levels. After returning to Leicester, he made his Premier League debut at Norwich in August 2021, completing a long route from the academy to the top flight.
Leicester's 2023/24 Championship campaign was a standout year for his attacking contribution. Dewsbury-Hall helped the club win the division and return to the Premier League, while also receiving Leicester's Men's Player of the Season and Players' Player awards. The EFL named him in its Championship Team of the Season.
He moved to Chelsea in July 2024. In the 2024/25 Conference League, he scored in the semi-final second leg against Djurgården. Chelsea then beat Real Betis in the final, where Dewsbury-Hall came on and found fellow substitute Jadon Sancho for a goal.
Chelsea also won the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Dewsbury-Hall featured in the tournament and scored against Benfica in the round of 16. In the final against Paris Saint-Germain, he replaced Reece James late in Chelsea's 3–0 victory.
A permanent move to Everton followed in August 2025. Premier League analysis of his early games there described a roaming No. 10 who repeatedly fed the left wing, then ran beyond the play into the penalty area. That movement gave him two ways to affect an attack: create the next pass from between the lines or become its recipient near goal. His left-footed corners added another route to a chance.
A February 2026 league win at Fulham showed both sides of that attacking job in one match. Dewsbury-Hall equalised after a pass from Vitalii Mykolenko; later, his corner was punched into the net by the Fulham goalkeeper. The equaliser was his goal; the winner went down as an own goal.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall currently plays for Everton as an attacking midfielder.
