Profile
Antonio Sivera Salvá, usually listed simply as Sivera, is a Spanish goalkeeper from Jávea. His career has involved youth international tournaments, a loan in the second division and Alavés's climb back to the top flight. Those settings explain his game more clearly than a season's save total.
Spain's 2015 European Under-19 title was an early marker. Sivera played during the tournament, including the group defeat to Russia, before Spain beat the same opponent in the final. He belonged to the winning squad, and the title was a team honour.
By 2019 he was an Alavés player in Spain's Under-21 squad. He started the European Under-21 final against Germany, which Spain won 2–1. That is more precise than saying he was selected: he took the field for the deciding match after Spain had recovered from losing its tournament opener.
A loan from Alavés took him to Almería in 2020. Almería's report of its promotion play-off defeat by Girona describes Sivera coming out to stop Cristhian Stuani when the striker was alone, then turning away a Borja García shot after half-time. The loss still showed two goalkeeper tasks: closing space before a shot and reacting once one is struck.
Alavés returned to the top flight through the June 2023 promotion play-off. The league's match account places Sivera in the decisive second leg against Levante, won through Asier Villalibre's extra-time penalty. Promotion belonged to the team; the penalty goal was Villalibre's, not an individual goalkeeper achievement.
A useful distinction in Sivera's role is how the situation changes the save. The Girona account provides one example of him advancing to confront a forward. In September 2026, the league recorded him saving Oihan Sancet's penalty during Alavés's goalless draw at Athletic Club.
Those episodes trace a goalkeeper whose path crossed youth championships, a loan and a promotion campaign. In the cited matches, reading an attack before contact with the ball mattered as much as the final stop. They resist a simple hero story: one intervention came in defeat, another in a draw, and the promotion was collective.
Sivera currently plays for Alaves as a goalkeeper.
