Aleix Febas

Aleix Febas is a central midfielder who helps a side move from keeping the ball to doing something with it. He can receive in a crowded middle third, carry beyond the first opponent and release a pass into the space that opens. His work after possession changes matters too: winning the ball back lets his team begin that process again rather than retreating straight into defence.

He learned the position in Real Madrid's academy and Castilla side before gaining senior experience on loan at Real Zaragoza in 2017/18 and Albacete in 2018/19. Both spells took him into Spain's second-tier promotion play-offs. Mallorca then signed him from Madrid's reserve side, and his time there brought first-division football. Those moves gave him different settings in which to turn academy technique into a repeatable midfield job.

After Mallorca and Málaga, Febas joined Elche for the 2023/24 campaign. The club introduced him as a player able to break lines with the ball and see the next pass; later, Celta highlighted his ability to organise play and recover possession. Together, those descriptions explain why he could serve as both an outlet under pressure and a link to the next attack, rather than relying on goals for his influence.

Elche won promotion to La Liga in the 2024/25 season. Febas supplied a memorable contribution along the way, scoring in a 2-0 second-division win over Eldense. His goal was one contribution to a promotion won by the whole side.

In the following top-flight season, Elche named Febas among its group of captains. He also scored the opening goal in a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid, finishing after a pass from Germán Valera. The move showed that a midfielder chiefly valued for circulation and recovery could also complete an attack himself. Elche stayed in the division before his departure.

Febas left Elche and joined Celta in June 2026. His first league appearance for the Vigo club came in its August draw at Valencia, where he started in a midfield built around sustained possession. The move added another top-flight chapter to a career developed through Madrid's academy, second-tier loans and a central role in Elche's rise. His clearest thread is the work between the two penalty areas: carrying play forward, finding a useful pass and competing to regain it when the move breaks down.
