Profile
Adrien Rabiot is a French midfielder whose attacking value often comes from joining a move after it has begun. Left-footed and capable of covering ground with long strides, he can turn a midfield position into an extra presence near goal, offering both a passing option and a target for deliveries.
Born in Saint-Maurice, Rabiot developed through French youth football before joining Paris Saint-Germain in 2010. He made his Ligue 1 debut in August 2012, then spent the first half of 2013 on loan at Toulouse. Back in Paris, he established a senior career that included five French league titles before his departure in 2019.
His move to Juventus in July 2019 brought an Italian league title in his first season. Coppa Italia successes followed in 2021 and 2024. His attacking contribution also expanded: in 2022/23 he scored eleven times across all competitions, eight of those goals coming in Serie A.
The way he reaches the penalty area helps explain that output. Against Udinese in August 2023, Rabiot headed in at the far post after Federico Chiesa and Andrea Cambiaso combined down the left. A midfielder arriving to finish a wide move gives the attack another player for defenders to track, rather than leaving the forwards to occupy the box alone.
Rabiot joined Marseille in September 2024 and moved to AC Milan in September 2025. A later example of his movement came against Verona in April 2026: he met Rafael Leão’s through ball and finished with his left foot for the only goal. Earlier in that match, his knockdown from a long pass had helped begin another chance.
For France, his senior debut came against Côte d’Ivoire in November 2016. He was part of the 2021 Nations League-winning squad and started the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina. At that World Cup he also scored against Australia, bringing his ability to contribute from midfield onto the international stage.
He played at a second World Cup in 2026, when France finished fourth. Rabiot started both the semi-final defeat by Spain and the third-place match against England, which France lost 6–4.
Adrien Rabiot currently plays for AC Milan as a central midfielder. He has represented France internationally.
