Profile
Kenan Yıldız is a Turkish forward who turns dribbling into shooting opportunities. Starting from the left, he can carry the ball past defenders and move onto his right foot. His early Juventus goals showed how close control and the choice of shooting angle can work together.
Born in Regensburg, Germany, on 4 May 2005, he joined Bayern Munich’s youth system in 2012 before moving to Juventus in summer 2022. His route in Turin took him through the under-19 side and Next Gen, the club’s development team playing senior football in Serie C.
He made his Serie A debut as a substitute against Udinese on 20 August 2023. His first league start came at Frosinone that December, when he beat three defenders and scored. On 23 December 2023, that goal made him Juventus’ youngest foreign scorer in Serie A.
He then scored in the round of 16 and quarter-finals of Juventus’ successful 2023/24 Coppa Italia campaign. Another introduction followed on 17 September 2024: he scored against PSV on his Champions League debut, curling the ball into the upper corner.
With Türkiye, he made his senior international debut in October 2023 and scored his first goal the following month, in a 3–2 friendly win against Germany in Berlin. He also played in the side that reached the EURO 2024 quarter-finals, where the Netherlands ended their run.
He appeared at the 2026 World Cup, starting Türkiye’s final group match against the United States. Their 3–2 win provided a closing victory, but Türkiye finished bottom of the group and went out. In August 2026 he fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot and needed surgery.
FIFA’s analysis of the 2025 Club World Cup offers a precise example of his finishing. It highlights Yıldız cutting inside from the left and scoring with his right foot at the near post. Moving infield gave him a different angle to attack; the example shows why a defender cannot treat a wide starting position as a promise that he will stay on the wing.
Kenan Yıldız currently plays for Juventus as a left winger. He has represented Türkiye internationally.
