Profile
Bradley Barcola is a French winger who turns space on the flank into a route to goal. A right-footed attacker, he can accelerate beyond an isolated defender with the ball or move towards a pass to combine with teammates.
He began playing at AS des Buers Villeurbanne before joining Lyon’s academy in 2010. His senior debut came against Sparta Prague in the Europa League in November 2021. The 2022/23 season brought his breakthrough into a regular starting role under Laurent Blanc, followed by a move to Paris Saint-Germain in August 2023.
In Paris, he contributed to Champions League wins in 2025 and 2026. Against Reims in the May 2025 Coupe de France final, he scored twice and crossed for Achraf Hakimi’s goal in a 3–0 victory. That performance showed both sides of his attacking contribution, finishing chances and supplying them.
His senior France debut came against Luxembourg on 5 June 2024. Three months later, against Italy in the Nations League, he scored his first international goal after just 12 seconds, setting a French men’s team record. He pressed Giovanni Di Lorenzo, took the ball and finished, although France went on to lose 3–1.
At the 2026 World Cup, Barcola appeared in all eight of France’s matches and scored three goals as the team finished fourth. His goals came against Senegal, Sweden and England, with the last arriving in the third-place match.
He joined Liverpool in August 2026 after three seasons at PSG, a spell that brought three successive Ligue 1 championships alongside the two European titles.
His movement works with the players around him. Against Manchester City in January 2025, he exploited space beyond Matheus Nunes to set up PSG’s first goal. UEFA also highlighted an Arsenal semi-final sequence in which João Neves ran forward while Barcola came towards the ball. Neves’s run made Myles Lewis-Skelly drop back, leaving Barcola room to receive and carry forward. Those contrasting movements explain how he can threaten a defence without always starting with a sprint behind it.
Bradley Barcola currently plays for Liverpool as a left winger. He has represented France internationally.
