Profile
Lassine Sinayoko is a Mali forward whose climb in French football was built at Auxerre. Born in Bamako and raised around Paris, he played for local clubs before moving to Auxerre in 2017, then progressed through its youth and reserve sides.
He made his first-team debut away to Niort in April 2021. Auxerre won promotion to Ligue 1 in 2022, then returned to Ligue 2 and earned another promotion in 2024, this time as champions. Sinayoko was part of both promotion sides; the second campaign also showed he could contribute goals.
His attacking role is broader than waiting for a finish. At Auxerre in 2024–25, he supplied chances as well as taking them, including three assists against Lens in one league match. He can help link an attack from the front: the value of that work is in giving a teammate a shot, even when Sinayoko does not score himself.
There is a penalty-area side to his game too. In a September 2026 Paris FC match against Strasbourg, he received the ball in the box, turned onto his left foot and forced a save; later he combined with Ilan Kebbal before Kebbal scored. Those two moves show the difference between creating a shooting angle for himself and connecting play for someone else.
Auxerre's fight to remain in Ligue 1 in 2025–26 gave him another kind of responsibility. He scored twice away to Lille on the final day as Auxerre won 2–0 and secured their place in the division. The brace came in a productive closing stretch of a season in which he also worked as a provider.
For Mali at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Sinayoko converted a stoppage-time penalty against Tunisia in January 2026 to take a ten-man side into extra time. It was his third goal of that tournament. Mali won the round-of-16 tie on penalties, then exited to Senegal in the quarterfinals.
Paris FC announced his signing from Auxerre on 21 July 2026. In September he scored a hat-trick in a 3–2 league win away to Marseille: an early left-footed finish, another goal to restore the lead and a late penalty.
Lassine Sinayoko currently plays for Paris FC as a striker. He has represented Mali internationally.
