Racing Santander

Founded in 1913, Racing Santander represent Santander in Cantabria, on Spain's northern coast. Their nickname, Los Verdiblancos, means the Green and Whites and reflects the club colours. Home is the Campos de Sport de El Sardinero, opened in 1988. Racing were one of the ten founding members of La Liga in 1929 and finished runners-up in 1931, an early landmark in their top-flight history.

Racing's second-division championships came in 1950, 1960 and 2026. The 2026 title accompanied promotion back to La Liga after fourteen years away. Between those spells, Racing won four Segunda B group titles and the inaugural Primera RFEF championship in 2022. These honours chart a history of rebuilding as well as long periods among Spain's leading clubs, with the 2022 title ending another stay in the third tier.
