Erzurumspor FK in brief

Founded in 1972, Erzurumspor FK are a football club from Erzurum in eastern Turkey. The club came under the Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality in 2005 as Erzurum Buyuksehir Belediyespor, became Buyuksehir Belediye Erzurumspor in 2014 and took its current name in 2022. The blue-and-white team play at the Kazim Karabekir Stadium, known as the Cemal Gursel Stadium until 2011, and are known by the nickname Dadaslar.

After almost four decades in amateur football, the club won its regional amateur group in 2010-11 and entered the national leagues. A fourth-tier title in 2015-16 started a rapid rise: promotion through the third-tier play-offs in 2017 was followed by a penalty shoot-out win over Gazisehir Gaziantep in the 2018 TFF First League play-off final, which took the club into the Super Lig for the first time. Erzurumspor FK returned to the top flight in 2020 as runners-up in the second tier, and in 2025-26 won the TFF First League title for the first time.
