Overview

Lech Poznan in brief

Lech Poznan are a football club from Poznan, the main city of the Wielkopolska region in western Poland. The club was founded on 19 March 1922 in the Debiec district as KS Lutnia Debiec and later became linked to the Polish State Railways, which gave it the nickname Kolejorz, Poznan dialect for "railwayman". The name Lech recalls the legendary founder of the Polish nation. The team play in blue and white, and their home is the municipal stadium on Bulgarska Street, known as Enea Stadion under a naming-rights deal since 2023, which was rebuilt ahead of Euro 2012.

Lech have won the Ekstraklasa ten times, in 1983, 1984, 1990, 1992, 1993, 2010, 2015, 2022, 2025 and 2026. The 2026 title was the third time they had kept the championship, after 1984 and 1993, and only Legia Warsaw, Ruch Chorzow, Gornik Zabrze and Wisla Krakow have won more Polish titles. The club have also won five Polish Cups, including a league and cup double in 1984, and won the Polish Super Cup a record seven times, in 1990, 1992, 2004, 2009, 2015, 2016 and 2026, the last with a 3-1 win over Gornik Zabrze in Poznan. In Europe, Lech reached the round of 32 of the UEFA Cup in 2008-09 and of the Europa League in 2010-11, the Conference League quarter-finals in 2022-23 and the Conference League round of 16 in 2025-26.
