Overview

KFUM Oslo in brief

KFUM Oslo, in full KFUM-Kameratene Oslo, are the football section of the sports club of the Oslo YMCA. KFUM stands for Kristelig Forening for Unge Menn, the Norwegian name for the YMCA, and the club is part of the Christian organisation KFUK-KFUM. The football group was founded on 1 January 1939, and its traditional base was in central Oslo. The team play in red and white and are nicknamed Kaffa. Since 2007 they have played at the KFUM Arena, a club-owned artificial-turf ground holding 3,300 spectators at Ekebergsletta in the Ekeberg area of Oslo.

KFUM spent most of their history in the lower divisions. They won their 3. divisjon group and the promotion play-off in 2008, then won Group 1 of the 2. divisjon in 2015 to reach the second-tier 1. divisjon for the first time. Relegated after one season, they returned through the 2018 play-offs, beating Asane 4-3 on aggregate. Second place in the 2023 1. divisjon brought a first promotion to the Eliteserien. Their best league finish is eighth, in 2024, and they reached the Norwegian Football Cup semi-finals in 2024, losing to Fredrikstad on penalties, and again in 2025-26. They have not won a major trophy.
