Profile
Moise Kean is an Italian striker whose pace is especially useful when there is space behind a defence. His forward runs offer a direct route towards goal, while his strength gives that threat a physical edge. He can also create a shooting chance with a close touch and a change of direction inside the penalty area.
Italy’s win over Northern Ireland in March 2026 showed how those qualities fit together. Kean repeatedly attacked the space beyond the defenders, but his goal required more than a sprint: he controlled Sandro Tonali’s pass, shifted the ball with a tight dribble and finished left-footed across the goalkeeper. That combination makes him a threat both before and after the pass reaches him.
Born in Vercelli, Kean moved from Torino’s youth system to Juventus in 2010. He made his Serie A debut against Pescara in November 2016 and scored his first league goal at Bologna the following May. A loan season at Hellas Verona followed before another spell at Juventus and a move to Everton in 2019.
His 2020/21 season with Paris Saint-Germain brought a memorable Champions League moment. In the 4–1 win at Barcelona in February 2021, he headed in Leandro Paredes’s free-kick. It was another way of reaching goal: finding a position to meet a delivery rather than carrying the ball there himself. He returned to Juventus in August 2021.
Kean joined Fiorentina in July 2024 and scored 19 Serie A goals in 2024/25. That season gave his career a substantial scoring landmark after its earlier moves between countries. In 2026 he moved from Fiorentina to Como on an initial loan, with an obligation to make the transfer permanent.
His Italy story includes a goal against Finland in March 2019, when he finished a move supplied by Ciro Immobile. Seven years later, he scored in both March 2026 World Cup play-off matches, against Northern Ireland and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Those goals did not bring qualification: Italy drew with Bosnia before losing the penalty shoot-out and missing the finals.
Moise Kean currently plays for Como as a striker. He has represented Italy internationally.
