Overview

Radomiak Radom in brief

Radomiak Radom are a football club from Radom, a city in the Masovian Voivodeship of central Poland. The club dates its foundation to 1910, when the Radom Sports Association (Radomskie Towarzystwo Sportowe) was formed under Russian rule. The present club grew out of a team founded in 1945 as KS Bata and renamed Radomiak that July, the Polish word for a person from Radom, which merged with the older RKS Radom in 1967. The team wear green and white and are nicknamed Zieloni (The Greens). Home matches are played at the Stadion im. Braci Czachorow, the Czachor Brothers Stadium on Struga Street, rebuilt and reopened in July 2023.

Radomiak have never won the Polish league title or the Polish Cup. A first promotion to the top flight came as second-division group winners in 1983-84, but the 1984-85 Ekstraklasa season ended in relegation. After decades in the lower divisions, Radomiak returned to the second tier in 2019 and won the I liga in 2020-21, reaching the Ekstraklasa again after 36 years.
