US Open Cup in brief
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is the oldest ongoing soccer tournament in the United States, first played in 1913/14 as the National Challenge Cup. Professional and amateur teams enter the single-elimination bracket, creating rare matchups between MLS clubs and lower-league sides. Bethlehem Steel and Maccabi Los Angeles share the record with five titles each.
The 2026 season runs from 17 March 2026 to 16 September 2026.
