US Open Cup in brief
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is the oldest ongoing soccer tournament in the United States, first played in 1913/14 as the National Challenge Cup. Professional and amateur teams enter the single-elimination bracket, creating rare matchups between MLS clubs and lower-league sides. Bethlehem Steel and Maccabi Los Angeles share the record with five titles each.
The 2026 season ran from 17 March 2026 to 22 October 2026.
Nashville SC are the current holders after winning the 2025 edition.
