DFB Pokal in brief
The DFB-Pokal is Germany's national cup, first held in 1935. Bundesliga clubs, 2. Bundesliga clubs and qualified lower-league sides meet in a knockout format where smaller clubs often host bigger opponents. The final has been staged at Berlin's Olympiastadion since 1985, and Bayern Munich are the record winners.
