Orlando City SC

Orlando City SC were founded in 2010 by Phil Rawlins, who moved the Austin Aztex to Florida and renamed them, and spent four seasons in USL Pro. MLS named Orlando its 21st club on 19 November 2013, and the first MLS match, on 8 March 2015 at the Citrus Bowl, ended 1-1 with New York City FC after a stoppage-time goal by Kaka. The Lions play in purple. Their own stadium opened in 2017; it became Exploria Stadium in 2019, Inter&Co Stadium in 2024 and Inter.co Stadium in July 2026.

In the USL Pro years Orlando City won the league championship in 2011 and 2013 and finished top of the regular season three times. Their first trophy as an MLS club was the 2022 U.S. Open Cup, won 3-0 against Sacramento Republic on 7 September 2022. In 2023 they finished second in the overall MLS table with 63 points, and in 2024 they reached the Eastern Conference final, losing to the New York Red Bulls.
