The contest continued to ebb and flow after the interval. Marcus Tavernier put Bournemouth ahead in the 52nd minute with the aid of an assist from Evanilson, but the lead lasted barely four minutes as Schade struck again to complete his brace and level the score at 2-2, a scoreline that held until the final whistle.
Bournemouth dominated territory and chances despite failing to convert that pressure into victory, dominating possession at 56 percent and outshooting their visitors 20 to 8, with ten efforts on target compared to Brentford's two. The home side also picked up five yellow cards to Brentford's one, reflecting a physical edge to a match that still ended honours even.
Schade was the difference-maker in attacking terms, scoring both of Brentford's goals to earn a 7.8 rating, though it was Tavernier's strike and 8.2 rating that stood out as the highest of the match for either side.
Bournemouth's 20 shots to Brentford's 8 underlined their territorial dominance, even if it yielded only a share of the spoils.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Bournemouth 41%, the draw 28%, Brentford 31%. It finished Bournemouth 2–2 Brentford.
Level sides, home ground swings it, even this early in the season — Nothing separates them on our strength rating, and Bournemouth's 41% is home ground and little else. The draw at 28% is lifted by the early-season fade in home wins.
Why Bournemouth in front?
Home ground, and little else. Almost nothing between them on our strength rating — 1961 to 1964. Sides this close won 43.1% of 15,973 home games (draw 26.7%, visitors 30.2%).
Why only 41%?
Because on our strength rating there is nothing in it. Both sides are inside their first six league games — home wins land softer this early in the season, so this trims Bournemouth's column. Across 11,058 opening-stretch games since 2010, home sides won 42.7% where the rating map expected 44.9%, with draws up 2.0 — negative in every season since 2018.
Why the draw at 28%?
Between sides this level the draw starts at 26.7%. These teams' recent games average 2.8 goals — a typical goals environment. Games in that environment drew 24.6% of 25,048. Early-season fixtures add 2.0 points to the draw.
What did we measure but not count?
Bournemouth have gained 62 strength-rating points over their last 10 games. Momentum is measured but not yet proven: climbing sides won 41.4% of 12,345 such games vs 40.6% class-expected — inside the noise band, so it stays at 0 points until the receipt clears its evidence bar. Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last 10 league games at home (3 wins, 7 draws), a run going back to January 2026. Rolling home runs look imposing but sides on a 6+ run won 56.2% of 13,601 games vs 54.5% class-expected — and in our walked test the rating already carried it, as it did for the season-long record. The other measured facts on this page scored nothing either.
