Raphael Lipinski gave Rodez a 2-1 lead in the 20th minute from Antonin Cartillier's assist, and that was how the first half finished. Nancy needed only two minutes of the second half to reply, Pape Meïssa Ba converting Nordine Kandil's delivery in the 47th minute, and Nehemiah Fernandez-Veliz made it 3-2 to the visitors in the 51st, again created by Kandil.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Rodez 67%, the draw 19%, Nancy 14%. It finished Rodez 3–4 Nancy.
Rodez's rating gap decides it — Rodez are clearly the stronger side on our strength rating, and that is most of Rodez's 67%. The draw at 19% is about what a gap this size usually leaves.
Why Rodez at 67%?
Rodez sit 204 points higher on our strength rating — 1593 to 1388. Sides with a 200–300-point rating edge at home won 67.1% of 6,003 such games. The 300 most similar past games finished 65–18–17.
Why only 67%?
No scored evidence points the other way. 67% is what this rating gap has been worth in games like these; the rest is the draw at 19% and Nancy at 14%.
Why is the draw only 19%?
With a rating gap this size the draw starts at 19.6%. These teams' recent games average 3.0 goals — a typical goals environment. Games in that environment drew 24.6% of 25,109.
What did we measure but not count?
Nancy come into this after a busy window — 13 arrivals and 14 departures over the summer. Squad turnover reads dramatic but hasn't moved results once the rating is controlled: the busiest windows landed within noise across 5,368 games, rebuilt elevens likewise across 5,446, and even losing the most regular starters showed nothing (5,336). Nancy are 5 games into a new manager (O. Tanchot), appointed 34 days ago. The famous new-manager bounce doesn't survive its receipt: sides with a new manager beat their rating by 0.9 points over 33,420 games — but sides on an equally bad run who kept their manager beat it by 2.4 over 31,777. The other measured facts on this page scored nothing either.
