Toon Raemaekers put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute, but Ferencvarosi TC were reduced to ten men just before the break when Philippe Rommens was sent off in the 36th minute. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Ferencvarosi TC doubled their lead early in the second half through Lenny Joseph, who converted a Kristoffer Zachariassen assist in the 50th minute.
Twente, dominant for long spells despite trailing, finally made their pressure count late on. Wout Weghorst pulled a goal back in the 82nd minute, assisted by Marko Pjaca, before Lucas Vennegoor of Hesselink equalised four minutes later with Bart van Rooij providing the assist, completing the comeback and sealing a 2-2 draw.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Ferencvarosi TC 45%, the draw 22%, Twente 33%. It finished Ferencvarosi TC 2–2 Twente.
Level sides, home ground holds off Twente's control of the ball — Nothing separates them on our strength rating, and UEFA Europa League home advantage plus Twente's hot finishing due to cool give Ferencvarosi TC the lean. The draw at 22% is nudged down by the same factors that shape the win chances.
Why Ferencvarosi TC in front?
Home ground, mostly. Almost nothing between them on our strength rating — 1747 to 1772. Sides this close won 43.2% of 15,749 home games (draw 26.7%, visitors 30.1%). UEFA Europa League home sides out-perform the global norm — and the difference mostly flows to draws (22.8% vs 24.9% norm). UEFA Europa League homes won 47.5% of 4,379 games vs 44.9% across all 98,666 — outside the noise band, so the tally moves accordingly. Twente scored +0.38 goals per game beyond chance-quality lately — hot streaks like that have cooled off. Visitors running this hot went on to win 29.1% of 1,425 games, vs 28.8% for visitors finishing normally.
Why only 45%?
Because on our strength rating there is nothing in it. Twente hold 10 more possession points (54 to 44 in recent games) — and between equals, control has been worth something. Between evenly-matched sides, when the visitors held this control edge the home team's win rate fell to 40.4% across 5,514 games, from 44.0% when styles were level.
Why is the draw only 22%?
Between sides this level the draw starts at 26.7%. These teams' recent games average 3.2 goals — a high-scoring environment. Games in that environment drew 22.8% of 16,814. The cool-off factor takes 2.3 points off the draw. UEFA Europa League produces fewer draws than most, taking 2.1 points off.
What did we measure but not count?
Ferencvarosi TC's last five: W-W-W — clearly the hotter side on recent results. Between equals, recent form told us almost nothing: the home side won 44.8% of 2177 games when clearly hotter and 42.9% of 3983 when clearly colder.
