Rene put the hosts ahead in the 39th minute, finishing off a Matheuzinho assist to send Vitoria in front at half-time. Cruzeiro responded almost immediately after the restart, with Keny Arroyo levelling in the 46th minute from a Kaio Jorge assist. Lucas Villalba then turned the game on its head in the 66th minute, converting a chance created by Arroyo to put the visitors 2-1 up.
Matheus Pereira added a third for Cruzeiro deep into stoppage time, finishing another Arroyo assist in the 90+7th minute to complete the turnaround. Vitoria had enjoyed more of the ball, with 57 per cent possession, but Cruzeiro were sharper in front of goal, striking 21 shots to Vitoria's 14 and forcing five efforts on target compared with Vitoria's eight. Vitoria also picked up three yellow cards as the match grew increasingly stretched.
Keny Arroyo was central to Cruzeiro's comeback, scoring the equaliser and then setting up both of the goals that turned the match in the visitors' favour, finishing with a rating of 8.78.
Despite having only 43 per cent of possession, Cruzeiro out-shot Vitoria 21 to 14 across the match.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Vitoria 38%, the draw 31%, Cruzeiro 31%. It finished Vitoria 1–3 Cruzeiro.
Home ground outweighs Cruzeiro's rating edge — Cruzeiro are the stronger side on our strength rating, but Brasileirão Série A home advantage plus Vitoria's cold finishing due to recover give Vitoria the lean. The draw at 31% is helped by a draw-heavy league.
Why Vitoria at 38%?
Home ground, against the rating. Cruzeiro sit 161 points higher on our strength rating — 1595 to 1756. Sides with a 100–200-point rating edge on the road won 40.2% of 13,207 such games. Brasileirão Série A home sides out-perform the global norm — and the difference mostly flows to draws (26.9% vs 24.9% norm) and away wins (24.9% vs 30.2%). Brasileirão Série A homes won 48.2% of 4,451 games vs 44.9% across all 100,474 — outside the noise band, so the tally moves accordingly. Vitoria sit -0.42 goals per game below chance-quality — cold streaks like this have bounced back. Finishing swings carry a receipt at this rating gap too: sides finishing this cold won 38.9% of 2,464 such games where the class table expected 36.4%.
Why only 38%?
Because Cruzeiro are the stronger side on our strength rating. The rest is the draw at 31% and Cruzeiro at 31%.
Why is the draw second, level with the Cruzeiro win?
With a rating gap this size the draw starts at 27.2%. These teams' recent games average 2.5 goals — a typical goals environment. Games in that environment drew 26.2% of 27,886. Brasileirão Série A runs draw-heavy, adding 2.0 points. The goals environment adds 1.5 points to the draw.
What did we measure but not count?
Cruzeiro have averaged 8 percentage points more possession than Vitoria in recent games. That doesn’t change our forecast here. Vitoria are missing 4 regular starters — Matheuzinho, Cacá, Caíque — about 35% of their usual starting-XI weight. Our measured receipt covers one-sided absences only, and the picture here isn't one-sided — both squads are short. The other measured facts on this page scored nothing either.
