Le Havre

Le Havre trace their institutional origins to 1872, although the football section emerged in the 1890s, making the club a foundational presence in the French game. Known as Ciel et Marine for their sky-blue and navy colours, they represent France's largest container port. The Stade Oceane, opened in 2012, provides their modern home on the eastern approach to the city.

Le Havre have won the French second division six times. Their outstanding campaign came in 1959, when they won both Division 2 and the Coupe de France before adding the Challenge des Champions. That cup made them the first club from outside the top flight to lift the trophy in the professional era. The achievement remains the defining expression of Le Havre's disciplined, development-led tradition.
