Brenden Aaronson doubled the visitors' advantage three minutes into the second half, finishing off a Lukas Nmecha assist to put Leeds 2-0 up and seemingly in control. Chelsea responded instantly, with Cole Palmer converting a penalty in the 53rd minute before adding a second two minutes later, assisted by Morgan Rogers, to level the score at 2-2.
Rogers turned provider twice more as Chelsea surged ahead, teeing up Pedro Neto in the 60th minute and Daniel Welbeck five minutes later to make it 4-2. Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled one back for Leeds after Noah Okafor's assist, but Valentín Barco restored the two-goal cushion in the 80th minute before assisting Welbeck's second of the night deep into stoppage time to complete the 6-3 rout.
Chelsea edged the shot count 16 to 18 in Leeds' favour but were far more clinical, landing eight of their efforts on target compared to six for the visitors, underlining the ruthless edge that turned the tie in Xabi Alonso's side's favour after their slow start.
Valentín Barco capped a decisive display with a goal and an assist, including the late strike that helped complete Chelsea's comeback, earning the highest rating of the match at 8.84.
Chelsea's superior accuracy in front of goal was reflected in their eight shots on target against Leeds' six, despite having one fewer attempt overall.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Chelsea 49%, the draw 28%, Leeds 23%. It finished Chelsea 6–3 Leeds.
Chelsea's rating edge, but the draw is in play — Chelsea are a shade stronger on our strength rating, and that is most of Chelsea's 49%. The draw at 28% is up from the usual 26.5% for a gap this size, as small adjustments add up.
Why Chelsea at 49%?
Chelsea sit 58 points higher on our strength rating — 1944 to 1886. Sides with a 50–100-point rating edge at home won 50.5% of 10,449 such games.
Why only 49%?
No scored evidence points the other way. 49% is what this rating gap has been worth in games like these; the rest is the draw at 28% and Leeds at 23%.
Why is the draw second, ahead of the Leeds win?
With a rating gap this size the draw starts at 26.5%. These teams' recent games average 2.7 goals — a typical goals environment. Games in that environment drew 26.2% of 27,786. The goals environment adds 1.4 points to the draw.
What did we measure but not count?
Leeds have gained 62 strength-rating points over their last 10 games. Momentum is measured but not yet proven: climbing sides won 41.4% of 12,336 such games vs 40.7% class-expected — inside the noise band, so it stays at 0 points until the receipt clears its evidence bar. Chelsea have played 3+ games in the last two weeks; their opponents haven't. Between equals, congested home sides won 46.9% of 2434 measured games and congested visitors 28.3% of 2487 — the cells disagree with each other and with the flat rest table, so schedule stays a watch item at 0 points.
