Brentford broke the deadlock in first-half stoppage time when Kevin Schade converted from Keane Lewis-Potter's assist, sending the away side in ahead at half-time with the score at 0-1. Leeds pushed for an equaliser after the break and got their reward in the 79th minute, Dominic Calvert-Lewin finishing off a Lukas Nmecha assist to level the score at 1-1, which is how it finished.

The visitors also picked up three yellow cards to Leeds's none as fouls mounted on their side of the ledger.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Leeds 36%, the draw 32%, Brentford 32%. It finished Leeds 1–1 Brentford.
Home ground outweighs Brentford's rating edge — Brentford are the stronger side on our strength rating, but home ground gives Leeds the lean. The draw at 32% is lifted by the early-season fade in home wins.
Why Leeds at 36%?
Home ground, against the rating. Brentford sit 78 points higher on our strength rating — 1886 to 1964. Sides with a 50–100-point rating edge on the road won 32.9% of 10,561 such games.
Why only 36%?
Because Brentford are the stronger side on our strength rating. Both sides are inside their first six league games — home wins land softer this early in the season, so this trims Leeds's column. Across 10,823 opening-stretch games since 2010, home sides won 42.8% where the rating map expected 44.9%, with draws up 2.0 — negative in every season since 2018.
Why is the draw second, level with the Brentford win?
With a rating gap this size the draw starts at 28.3%. These teams' recent games average 2.6 goals — a typical goals environment. Games in that environment drew 26.2% of 27,699. Early-season fixtures add 2.0 points to the draw. The goals environment adds 1.5 points to the draw.
What did we measure but not count?
Leeds have gained 92 strength-rating points over their last 10 games. Momentum is measured but not yet proven: climbing sides won 41.4% of 12,267 such games vs 40.7% class-expected — inside the noise band, so it stays at 0 points until the receipt clears its evidence bar. Brentford are winless in their last 8 visits to Leeds. "Cursed ground" stories don't survive the receipts: winless visitors won 20.4% of 5,648 return visits vs 21.4% class-expected — the rating's own read already covers it.
