Scott put the hosts ahead in the 41st minute, turning home a chance created by Evanilson to send Bournemouth in front at the break. Everton pushed for an equaliser throughout the second half and were finally rewarded deep into stoppage time, when Tarkowski headed home in the 90+1st minute to level the score at 1-1 and deny Bournemouth a first win of the campaign.
Bournemouth dominated territory with 59 percent possession and had the greater share of the chances, registering 17 shots to Everton's 13 and forcing 10 corners against seven for the visitors. Everton, however, were sharper in front of goal, putting seven of their 13 attempts on target compared with Bournemouth's five, a difference that helped them find the leveller they needed.
Tarkowski scored the equaliser deep into stoppage time and finished with a rating of 7.97, the highest of any player on the pitch.
Despite yielding 59 percent of possession to Bournemouth, Everton were the more clinical side, landing seven of their 13 shots on target against the hosts' five from 17.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Bournemouth 49%, the draw 28%, Everton 23%. It finished Bournemouth 1–1 Everton.
Bournemouth's rating edge, but the draw is in play — Bournemouth are a shade stronger on our strength rating, and that is most of Bournemouth's 49%. The draw at 28% is lifted by the early-season fade in home wins.
Why Bournemouth at 49%?
Bournemouth sit 88 points higher on our strength rating — 1955 to 1866. Sides with a 50–100-point rating edge at home won 50.6% of 10,384 such games.
Why only 49%?
Both sides are inside their first six league games — home wins land softer this early in the season, so this trims Bournemouth's column. Across 10,761 opening-stretch games since 2010, home sides won 42.8% where the rating map expected 44.9%, with draws up 2.0 — negative in every season since 2018.
Why is the draw second, ahead of the Everton win?
With a rating gap this size the draw starts at 26.5%. These teams' recent games average 3.0 goals — a typical goals environment. Games in that environment drew 24.6% of 24,900. Early-season fixtures add 2.0 points to the draw.
What did we measure but not count?
Bournemouth have gained 75 strength-rating points over their last 10 games. Momentum is measured but not yet proven: climbing sides won 41.4% of 12,243 such games vs 40.7% class-expected — inside the noise band, so it stays at 0 points until the receipt clears its evidence bar. Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last 9 league games at home. Rolling home runs look imposing but sides on a 6+ run won 56.3% of 13,540 games vs 54.6% class-expected — and in our walked test the rating already carried it. The other measured facts on this page scored nothing either.
