Match report
Juventus dominate Parma to move second in Serie A
Juventus beat Parma 2-0 at the Allianz Stadium in a Serie A Regular Season - 2 fixture, moving to second in the table with the win. Nicolás González broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute before Teun Koopmeiners added a second late on, sealing a comfortable victory for Luciano Spalletti's side.
AI-assisted match report written from official match data.
The hosts controlled the contest from the outset, dominating possession at 58 percent and racing into a commanding lead in shots, 20 to Parma's four. It took until the second half for that pressure to tell, with González converting to make it 1-0 in the 63rd minute after a goalless opening period.
Parma, under Carlos Cuesta, offered little going forward and managed just three shots on target across the match. Juventus put the result beyond doubt in the 88th minute when Koopmeiners scored from a Manuel Locatelli assist, completing a 2-0 win that left Parma winless and pointless after two rounds.
Locatelli pulled the strings from midfield and capped his display by setting up Koopmeiners' late goal, earning the highest rating on the pitch at 8.2.
Juventus's 20 shots to Parma's four underlined their near-total control of the match.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Juventus 70%, the draw 22%, Parma 8%. It finished Juventus 2–0 Parma.
Juventus' rating gap decides it — Juventus are clearly the stronger side on our strength rating, and that is most of Juventus' 70%. The draw at 22% is lifted by a low-scoring environment.
Why Juventus at 70%?
Juventus sit 366 points higher on our strength rating — 1985 to 1619. Sides with a more than 300-point rating edge at home won 79.8% of 5,099 such games. The 300 most similar past games finished 74–18–8.
Why not higher?
Both sides are inside their first six league games — home wins land softer this early in the season, so this trims Juventus's column. Across 10,761 opening-stretch games since 2010, home sides won 42.8% where the rating map expected 44.9%, with draws up 2.0 — negative in every season since 2018. Serie A home sides under-perform the global norm — and the difference mostly flows to the other outcomes. Serie A homes won 43.3% of 6,092 games vs 44.9% across all 99,457 — outside the noise band, so the tally moves accordingly.
Why is the draw only 22%?
With a rating gap this size the draw starts at 16.9%. These teams' recent games average 1.8 goals — a low-scoring environment. Games in that environment drew 28.2% of 18,143. The goals environment adds 2.3 points to the draw. Early-season fixtures add 2.0 points to the draw.
What did we measure but not count?
Juventus average 20 points more possession, but the rating gap here is 366 points. Our control receipt only exists between near-equals — there it moved results; across a class gap we could not measure a separate style edge, so style scores 0 here. Parma are winless in their last 9 visits to Juventus. "Cursed ground" stories don't survive the receipts: winless visitors won 20.4% of 5,641 return visits vs 21.4% class-expected — the rating's own read already covers it.
