Greece stun Serbia with late Douvikas winner in Nations League opener
Serbia led at the break but were beaten 2-1 by Greece in their UEFA Nations League League A opener, undone by a stoppage-time winner after dominating large spells of the contest. Andrija Živković had given the hosts an early lead, but Greece fought back in the second half and snatched victory deep into added time.
AI-assisted match report written from official match data.
Živković struck in the fourth minute, finishing from an assist by Dušan Tadić to put Serbia ahead early and settle the home side into control before half-time. Greece responded after the break, with Christos Tzolis levelling in the 74th minute off a Vangelis Pavlidis assist. The match seemed destined for a share of the points until Anastasios Douvikas struck in the 90+4th minute, teed up by Konstantinos Tsimikas, to complete the turnaround.
Serbia dominated possession at 61 percent and had 26 shots to Greece's nine, yet could not convert that pressure into a second goal. Greece made their limited chances count, taking nine shots on target compared to Serbia's four, and the result lifted them to first place in Group 2 with three points from one match, while Serbia sit fourth without a point.
Goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić was rated the highest performer on the pitch at 8.4 despite finishing on the losing side, while Tzolis earned a rating of 8.2 after scoring Greece's equaliser.
Serbia held 61 percent of possession and still lost, underlining how clinical Greece were with far fewer opportunities.

Sirius · Why these numbers
Before kick-off Sirius gave Serbia 51%, the draw 26%, Greece 23%. It finished Serbia 1–2 Greece.
A slight rating edge to Serbia, little else — Serbia are a shade stronger on our strength rating, and that is most of Serbia's 51%. The draw at 26% is about what a gap this size usually leaves.
Why Serbia at 51%?
Serbia sit 52 points higher on our strength rating — 1743 to 1690. Sides with a 40–80-point rating edge at home won 50.2% of 10,304 such games.
Why only 51%?
No scored evidence points the other way. 51% is what this rating gap has been worth in games like these; the rest is the draw at 26% and Greece at 23%.
Why the draw at 26%?
With a rating gap this size the draw starts at 26.6%. These teams' recent games average 2.9 goals — a typical goals environment. Games in that environment drew 24.6% of 25,169.
What did we measure but not count?
Serbia sit -0.41 goals per game under chance-quality. For home sides we could not receipt a bounce-back — the measured cells sit inside each other's noise bands — so this is noted and scores 0. Serbia (11 fully-tracked matches with us) and Greece (6) carry strength ratings anchored to the official international ratings list, so the class read stands on far more than our own short records. National sides play too few games for a record built from scratch, so their rating chain starts from the published international ratings instead of a blind first guess.
