FA Cup in brief
The FA Cup is the world's oldest national football competition, first played in 1871/72. Clubs from across the English pyramid enter the knockout draw, so non-league and lower-division sides can earn home ties against Premier League clubs before the final at Wembley Stadium. Arsenal are the record winners with 14 cups.
The 2025/26 season ran from 1 August 2025 to 25 April 2026.
Crystal Palace are the current holders after winning the 2024/25 edition.
